Crypto staking & yield simulator

Simulate staking rewards with APR or APY, compounding, fees, lock-ups and bear/base/bull token prices. Educational, not financial advice.

Hypothetical simulation, not a rate quote or financial advice. Staking rates vary; slashing, lock-ups, platform failure and price drops can cause losses.

How it works

Staking means locking proof-of-stake tokens to help secure a network in exchange for rewards paid in more tokens. This answers: "If I stake X tokens at an assumed rate, how many will I have, and what could they be worth if the price falls or rises?" We never quote platform rates: enter the rate you see, and remember it changes.

Staking availability verified on each provider's official site (Oct 2026); supported coins, fees, lock-ups and eligibility vary by provider and country. We don't list staking rates: they change constantly. Staking carries slashing, lock-up, smart-contract/custody and price risk, and rewards are generally taxable income in the US.

Questions, answered

What's the difference between APR and APY?

APR is the simple yearly rate. APY includes compounding: APY = (1 + APR ÷ n)^n − 1 for n payouts a year. If a platform shows APY, don't compound it again. The calculator converts APY back to APR for you.

Does restaking really matter?

Restaking adds rewards to your stake so they also earn. At a few percent a year the difference is small over one year and grows over longer periods.

What rates should I enter?

The one your wallet or exchange shows today, and try lower ones too: staking rates are variable and set by each network and provider. We deliberately don't list platform rates.

What are the risks of staking?

Slashing (losing part of the stake if a validator misbehaves), lock-ups and unbonding periods, platform or smart-contract risk, and above all token price risk: a 50% price drop wipes out many years of rewards.

Are staking rewards taxed?

In the US, the IRS says staking rewards are generally income when you gain control of them (Rev. Rul. 2023-14), and selling later can create a capital gain or loss. Check with a tax professional.
